Mary Ellen Baldwin, CFP®
Principal Financial Planner
Mary Ellen Baldwin, CFP graduated from the University of Central Florida and immediately joined Harris Corporation where she held positions ranging from market analyst to marketing manager. She earned her MBA from Florida Institute of Technology and in 1988 received her CFP designation after completing the College for Financial Planning Education Program. She served as administrator of a medical clinic in Melbourne until 1997 when she began focusing exclusively on fee-only personal financial planning.
As a comprehensive Certified Financial Planner, Mary is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the nation’s leading organization of fee-only, comprehensive financial planning professionals where at least 60 hours of continuing education are required every two years. As the founder of Baldwin and Associates, she is a Registered Investment Advisor regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Mary serves on the board of the Brevard Neighborhood Development Coalition and the Brevard County Estate Planning Council. She writes a monthly financial Q&A column for the Florida Today and has participated in board activities for the Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center, Cancer Care Centers of Brevard Foundation, Children’s Home Society of Florida and South Brevard Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Hobbies include bicycling, tennis, kayaking, rollerblading, snorkeling and downhill skiing.
Dottie Bourlier, CFP®
Dottie Bourlier, CFP®, a native of Pennsylvania, completed her Bachelor’s degree at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA in 1996 while working full time and raising six children. She later went on to complete her MBA from Webster University in May 2015. Dottie began her career in banking in 1981 with IGA Federal Credit Union in Feasterville, PA where she was promoted to CFO. Dottie also worked at American Heritage FCU in Philadelphia, PA as the CFO and served as the Treasurer of the Kids in Hope Foundation. She moved to Florida in 2006 to take a position as the VP of Finance and Accounting for Space Coast Credit Union where she worked until July 2015.
In the spring of 2007, Dottie and Mary Baldwin walked around the park and discussed a career change. Having a passion for financial planning, Dottie pursued her CFP® designation and joined the team at Baldwin & Associates in January 2016.
Dottie volunteers with the United Way of Brevard County and currently resides in Indialantic, FL. She has completed a full marathon and has competed in numerous triathlons. She enjoys all outdoor activities but finds the greatest joy spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Director of Operations
Jody Jacobs graduated from Southwestern College of Business in the Computerized Accounting Program in 1990. Immediately after graduating she started working for Saalfeld Paper, a division of International Paper. She worked from 1990 to 1997 in their Accounts Receivable Department.
From 1992 through 1997 Jody served in numerous roles in the Buckeye Trails Girl Scout Council such as Troop Leader, Annual Giving Coordinator, and Service Unit Manager.
In 1997 she returned to Melbourne, Florida. She worked for Fiberglass Florida as Office Manager for 8 years. In 2005 she started working for Designers West Interiors in the Lead Accounting position. In 2009 Jody started an event business with a partner called Less Stress Events. In 2009, she also began working for Mary Baldwin part-time and eventually became full-time in 2011.
Jody’s hobbies include camping and organizing activities for family & friends.
Zee Tenewitz graduated from the University of Florida in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. While working at Harris Corporation she pursued graduate studies in accounting at the University of Central Florida. After passing the CPA exam in 1989 she worked in public accounting at a local firm. Since 2005 Zee has worked part time at Baldwin and Associates as an Administrative Assistant.
Zee enjoys running, has done triathlons and half marathons, kayaking, cooking and enjoys attending her children’s sports games.
Candy Heeschen attended the University of South Florida and is a fifth generation Floridian. She moved to Melbourne Beach in January 2016 with her husband and two beautiful beagles. She has worked in the financial planning business for almost 20 years and joined Baldwin & Associates in February 2017. Candy enjoys bike riding, walking with her husband and her puppies and reading.
